چکیده

much higher compared to hexokinase12. Although Lau et al. have provided convincing evidence for this switching effect in cells, its effect within whole organisms is not yet known. The switching hypothesis may open a new avenue for the understanding of growth factor receptor signaling by metabolic flux by way of the hexosamine pathway. The lattice model provided by Lau et al.1 is also intriguing in that extracellular interactions can control the rate of endocytosis of cell surface receptors. Although endocytosis of receptors has been studied only with regard to cytoplasmic events such as interactions between cytoplasmic tails of receptors and adaptor proteins, this work clearly shows an extra level of control executed by the extracellular environment. Direct visualization of the lattice under several different conditions should yield fruitful indications for understanding the switch between cellular growth and arrest.

کلونینگ، بیان و تخلیص پروتئین SNAP-25

Background & Objectives:Clostridial neurotoxin inhibits neurotransmitter release by selective and specific intracellular proteolysis of synaptosomal associated protein of 25KDa (SNAP-25), synaptobrevin/VAMP-2 and syntaxin. SNAP-25 is one of the components that forms docking complex in synaptic ends. This protein is subtrate for botulinum neurotoxins types A,C, and E. Each of these toxin serotyp...

SNAP-25 palmitoylation and plasma membrane targeting require a functional secretory pathway.

Synaptosomal-associated protein of 25 kDa (SNAP-25) is a palmitoylated membrane protein essential for neurotransmitter release from synaptic terminals. We used neuronal cell lines to study the biosynthesis and posttranslational processing of SNAP-25 to investigate how palmitoylation contributes to the subcellular localization of the protein. SNAP-25 was synthesized as a soluble protein that und...

ارزش سه شاخص SNAP, CRIB و SNAP-PE در تعیین شدت بیماری و پیشگویی مرگ نوزادان بستری شده در NICU

Background and purpose:There is growing interest in employing screening procedures to identify critical infants at the beginning of hospitalization at NICU and adjusting death rate with severity of early disease. Most of studies were carried out on preterm infants born in the same center. The aim of this study was to compare the diagnostic power of SNAP-PE, SNAP, and CRIB indices in determini...

A comparison of CRIB, CRIB II, SNAP, SNAPII and SNAP-PE scores for prediction of mortality in critically ill neonates

Abstract Background: Clinical Risk Index of Babies (CRIB), Score for Neonatal Acute Physiology (SNAP), an update of the Clinical Risk Index for Babies score (CRIB II) and Score for Neonatal Acute Physiology - Perinatal Extension (SNAP-PE) are scoring devices developed in neonatal intensive care units. This study reviewed these scoring systems in critically ill neonates to determine how well th...

Near-Infrared Fluorescence Imaging of Mammalian Cells and Xenograft Tumors with SNAP-Tag

Fluorescence in the near-infrared (NIR) spectral region is suitable for in vivo imaging due to its reduced background and high penetration capability compared to visible fluorescence. SNAP(f) is a fast-labeling variant of SNAP-tag that reacts with a fluorescent dye-conjugated benzylguanine (BG) substrate, leading to covalent attachment of the fluorescent dye to the SNAP(f). This property makes ...
